Matt Sullivan's 2003 Vineman 1/2 Ironman Fundraising Website
I finished!!!! Check my diary for a summary of the race...
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team In Training (TNT) is the world's largest endurance sports training program. In exchange for training and support, you help raise money towards a cure for blood cancers like leukemia - the No. 1 disease killer of children - and lymphoma. How serious is it? Every five minutes, someone in the United States learns that he or she has leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease or myeloma. Since 1988, over 160,000 Team in Training participants have raised over $385 MILLION to help fight these diseases. In fact, Gleevec, a revolutionary new drug for the treatment of Leukemia was developed by Dr. Brian Druker, a scientist who is funded in part by The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. In addition, the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society sponsored research has been the catalyst for effective treatments of Hodgkin’s disease, lymphoma, and other common cancers, including breast and lung cancer. Please feel free to surf through my website! I have been tracking my training and racing so far this year in the “Diary”, and have some pictures from earlier this year under “Photos”. If you would like to help in the fight against cancer, and support my fund raising and participation, you can print out and complete the sponsorship form. Your generous 100% tax-deductible donation will go to support research, patient services, and educational programs. |
